Emergency Care

Toothache at midnight? Knocked tooth at soccer? We hold same-day slots every morning — call (503) 555-0142 and we'll take it from there.

Calm Help, Fast

Dental emergencies look scarier than they usually are — and a calm first response changes everything. Our team talks you through immediate steps on the phone, sees urgent cases the same day, and follows up the next morning to make sure pain stays gone.

Dr. Marcus Ellery, our oral surgeon, handles complex injuries in-house, so most families never need a hospital trip. Keep our number in your phone: it matters most on playgrounds and Saturdays.

What to do now

First Aid in Four Steps

  1. Stay calm, call us

Phone guidance starts immediately — most situations stabilize with three simple steps.

  2. Protect the tooth

Hold knocked teeth by the crown, rinse briefly, and keep in cold milk if it won't sit back in.

  3. Ease pain safely

Cold compress outside, warm rinse inside. Never aspirin on the gums.

  4. Same-day visit

Morning emergency slots daily; after-hours line for true urgencies.

Questions parents ask

Emergency FAQs

My child's tooth was knocked out — what matters most? –

Speed. For permanent teeth, re-implantation within 60 minutes gives the best odds — hold by the crown, rinse without scrubbing, and get to us. For baby teeth, don't re-implant; control bleeding and call.

Do you charge extra for emergencies? +

No emergency surcharge during office hours. You'll always hear the cost before treatment begins — no surprises on a stressful day.

What about nights and weekends? +

Our after-hours line reaches the on-call doctor for true urgencies: uncontrolled bleeding, swelling affecting breathing or swallowing, or facial trauma. Everything else gets the first morning slot.

A wire is poking — can we fix it at home? +

Temporarily, yes: dry the area and roll orthodontic wax (or sugar-free gum) over the end, then call us for a same-day trim. Never cut wires yourself.

In pain right now?

Don't wait it out — call and we'll tell you honestly whether it can wait.
